HIGH-TECH REVOLUTION:
HOW TWO COMPANIES ARE REINVENTING THE FUTURE OF METAL PRODUCTION CALIFORNIA/AUSTRIA

May 6, 2025

In an era where sustainability is more crucial than ever, two companies are writing a remarkable story of technological innovation. The Austrian 3D printing specialist M&H and the California-based company California Metals have formed a strategic partnership that could radically expand the boundaries of what’s possible in metal production.

This collaboration promises nothing less than a revolution in high-tech manufacturing. “We’re not just developing metals – we’re developing a sustainable future for high-performance industries,” says Michael Resl, CEO of California Metals.

A Partnership with Vision

Patrick Herzig, CEO of M&H, sees this cooperation as more than just a technology exchange: “Through our expertise, we can drastically reduce material consumption and waste – a decisive factor for truly sustainable production.”

At the heart of the partnership is the development of “Clean Aluminum,” “Clean Steel,” and “Clean Titanium” – materials manufactured according to the strictest environmental standards. The first prototypes are expected to emerge in the coming days, with a clear goal: to create components that are not only lighter and more stable but also significantly more climate-friendly.

A Journey Across Continents

The roots of this innovation run deep. Michael Resl, a native of Graz, Austria, with an impressive career in international motorsport, brings his experience from AVL and the DTM racing series directly to the company. “We imagine what’s possible when environmental responsibility meets cutting-edge engineering,” says Resl.

For M&H, this marks the second significant step into North America. Since fall 2023, the company has been supplying one of the world’s leading high-tech equipment manufacturers in North America.

Looking to the Future

The initial target industry for these innovations is aerospace, with perspectives for motorsport and other high-tech sectors. “We want to elevate each other to the next level,” emphasizes Herzig.

What initially sounds like a technical advancement could prove to be a turning point in industrial production: a vision of technology that not only works but also respects our planet.

The journey has just begun.
